Arc is one of the four protagonists in the DS remake of Final Fantasy III. He is one of the four Warriors of Light chosen by the Crystals to fight Xande and restore the balance between light and darkness in the world. He was raised in the village of Ur alongside Luneth after they were orphaned by the crash of Cid Haze's airship onto the Floating Continent. He is fourteen years old and short for his age. He is taken from postgame. Here is a picture of him.
Arc is quiet and prefers reading to adventuring when he can manage it, although the long quest to defeat Xande and the Cloud of Darkness has thoroughly dispelled the fears he once had. Similarly, his tendency towards shyness is nowhere near what it was at the beginning of the game, though he's not exactly gregarious either. He hates to see people being picked on and bullied and will interfere even if it means a fight. He's a good-hearted person who loves learning new things, and sometimes he can be a bit flighty or know-it-allish. As the Light of Kindness, he has a great deal of empathy and will use his new strength to help people whenever he can.
FFIII uses a job class system, so theoretically Arc can do anything from swing a battleaxe to summoning a giant dragon into a fight, but for the purposes of simplification I'll be playing him as focusing on the more magic-oriented jobs and using books as his primary weapon (specifically White Mage/Devout, Scholar, Evoker, Magus, Geomancer, and Bard).
